Sending an SMS to a Parent

How to send a One-Way SMS

1. Locate a lead or waitlist request and click 'Send SMS' using the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the grid.
   (You can also access the SMS button above the Interactions History of any lead.)
   
   
   
   
2. The SMS pop-up window will appear providing you with a textbox to type in your message. It will also advise you of the parent’s name you are sending the SMS to.

Note: SMS charges apply at a rate of 20 cents per message. 1 message has a limit of 160 characters.

4. Click the ‘Send SMS’ button. You will notice the button’s text will change to ‘Sending SMS’ and not allow any further changes. The pop-up window will disappear.
   
   If you refresh your page after a few moments, the delivered SMS will appear as a new entry in the waitlist’s Interaction’s History

To use this feature you will need to turn the SMS feature ON in your centre's Settings. Kindly note, SMS charges apply at a rate of 20 cents per message.
